Tax cuts are not made via a newspaper article. Nedda. Apaana. No. Ingahi. Refuse the forceful insertion of this violent lie into your minds. Refuse the lies they are planting in state-owned newspapers to placate and derail us away from our struggle to make Museveni accountable for the futile promise and lies about sanitary pads for schoolgirls in Uganda. Do not fall for the propaganda about the scraping of taxes on sanitary pads before you have listened to the next budget speech. When you listen to the budget, ask important questions:
1) How was the tax on sanitary pads cut?
2) Who approved this change in taxation practice and policy?
3) By how much was this tax cut?
4) How does this tax-cut translate into cheaper prices for sanitary pads?
5) When is the tax cut going to be reflected in the drop of the prices of sanitary pads?
6) Which financial year will the tax-cut on sanitary pads take effect: 2017/18, 2018/19?
7) Does this cut apply to all sanitary pads imported into Uganda including stock already purchased?
8) What about the prices of locally produced reusable sanitary pads for whom import duty/ tax is meaningless?
Let us not be quick to cheer the gang-bangers who are not changing their evil violet ways, but rather insulting us by undermining our intelligence and knowledge of taxation processes. Question the wolokoso of the rapist Musevenists. Interrogate their lies!!!
